Guacamole

Great with tortilla chips or as a topping for Mexican foods. You can make it smooth or chunky, depending on your taste.

Ingredients

  • 3 avocados - peeled, pitted, & mashed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup of diced onion
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 to 1 jalapeno, seeded and diced (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sour cream (optional) may help guacamole from turning brown

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt.

2. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, garlic, and jalapeno.

3. Stir in cayenne pepper (and sour cream if using).

4. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
