Ingredients
- 1 cup hazelnuts, ground
- 1/2 package German sweet chocolate, ground
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- pinch of salt
- 1-1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 250F.
Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Combine nuts and chocolate; set aside.
Cream butter, shortening, and sugar.
Add vanilla and salt.
Add flour alternating with nut/chocolate mixture.
Drop by the spoonful onto cookie sheets about 2" apart.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until firm.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
