Ingredients

  • 1

    cup hazelnuts, ground

  • ½

    package German sweet chocolate, ground

  • ½

    cup butter

  • ½

    cup vegetable shortening

  • 1

    cup granulated sugar

  • 1

    teaspoon vanilla

  • pinch of salt

  • 1-¼

    cup all-purpose flour

  • powdered sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 250F. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Combine nuts and chocolate; set aside. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add vanilla and salt. Add flour alternating with nut/chocolate mixture. Drop by the spoonful onto cookie sheets about 2" apart. Bake 25-30 minutes or until firm. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
