Ingredients
- 16 oz macaroni
- 6 TBSP butter
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Papa El's Season All
- 5 Cups milk
- 4 cups Medium Cheddar shredded (2 shredded 2 cubed)
- 2 cups Velveeta Cheese(cubed or shredded)
- Panko Bread Crumbs enough to cover the top
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375
Boil pasta until al dente- approx. 10 minutes. Drain and rinse with cool water to stop cooking. Over medium heat melt butter. Add flour , salt, dry mustard,pepper and smokey seasoning. Stir until thick then add milk. Keep on medium heat and whisk for about 10 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Make sure the sauce has no lumps. Remove from heat add 2 cups Velveeta and 2 cups cheddar. Stir until melted. Sprinkle Panko bred crumbs on bottom of pan with smokey seasoning. Measure 8 oz noodles in pan, then sprinkle with some remaining cheese add more noodles. Sprinkle with more cheese. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top and drizzle melted butter over the top.
Bake 20 t0 25 minutes, till bubbly & just starting to brown.
Makes 6 1 lb containers and 1 sample or 1 large that feeds 8 to 10.
