Griddle Cakes

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg

Preparation

Step 1

1. Sift and mix flour with other dry ingredients.

2. Beat eggs and add to milk.

3. Add milk mixture to dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Add melted butter.

4. Drop by spoonful on griddle iron. Fry until edges are brown and top is full of bubbles. Turn and fry on other side.

5. Grease griddle top lightly as needed.
