Ingredients
- 2 pounds bulk hot Italian sausage
- 2 cans (14-1/2 ounces) Italian stewed tomatoes
- 2 cans (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 2 cups frozen Italian vegetables
- 2 cups julienned green, sweet red and/or yellow pepper
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
Step 1
* In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink.
* Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, combine the remaining ingredients.
* Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
* Drain sausage; add to soup and heat through.
