Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 quarts popcorn (24 cups)
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup (dark)
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Boil brown sugar, butter, and syrup for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add salt, soda, and vanilla. Stir over popcorn. Put on a cookie sheet, place in oven at 200 degrees for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes while in oven. Take out and stir thoroughly.
