Jalapeno Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeno slices, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut butter into flour with a pastry blender or 2 forks; stir in whipping cream just until moistened. Stir in jalapenos and cheese just until blended. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface; knead dough 6 or 7 times. Roll or pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 1-1/2-inch round cutter. Place biscuits on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 18 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
