Caramel & Apple Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 med baking apples, cored,peeled & cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 lb caramels, unwrapped
  • 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 ground cardamon
  • 1 prepared pound cake, sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Coat inside of 4 qt crock-pot with non-stick cooking spray. Layer apples, apple juice & caramels in slow cooker.
Mix together peanut butter, vanilla,cinnamon & cardamom in a small bowl. Drop by tsp full onto apples.
Cover: Cook on low 6-8 hrs or on high 3-4 hrs.
Stir thoroughly & cook 1 hr longer. To serve, spoon warm over cake slices.
