Shrimp steamed in beer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large raw shrimp
  • 12 oz can of beer
  • Cocktail sauce
  • 1 lemon

Preparation

Step 1

Arrange shrimp in steamer basket in single layer. Pour beer into medium saucepan which will fit the steamer. Bring to a boil over high heat. Place the basket into the saucepan. Reduce heat to medium, cover. Steam apprx 3-4 minutes or until shrimp changes to pink. Remove the basket and place shrimp on bed of ice to cool quickly. Refrigerate until needed. Serve with lemon and cocktail sauce.
