Espresso Nightcap with Vanilla Whipped Cream

Ingredients

  • Espresso Nightcap:
  • 1-1/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1-1/4 cups espresso
  • 1 cup amaretto liqueur
  • Vanilla Whipped Cream:
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Preparation

Step 1

Espresso Nightcap:
1. Combine the milk, heavy cream, espresso, and amaretto liqueur, in a medium saucepan.
2. Place over low heat, stirring constantly until hot but not boiling, about 3 to 5 minutes.

Vanilla Cream:
3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream until thick.
4. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla.
5. Continue to beat until cream holds soft peaks.
6. Pour the Espresso Nightcap into 4 (8-ounce) mugs.
7. Dollop with the Vanilla Whipped Cream and serve immediately.
