Ingredients
- 10 slices bacon
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 cans chicken broth
- 1 package Whitemix Lily Country Gravy
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup italian diced tomatoes
- 1 cup thinly sliced carrot
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large pot, cook bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels. Crumble and set aside. Leave about 2 T of bacon drippings in the pot. Add onion, celery and garlic. Cook, stirring constatly for five minutes. Add water, broth, tomatoes, thyme and carrots. Heat to boiling. Cover and simmer for abgout 10 minutes, until carrots are tender.
