Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 2-1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 15 - 20 croissants, cut into 1-1/2 inch pieces
  • 3/4 cup chocolate, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter and sugar in food processor.
2. Add cinnamon and vanilla. Mix.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. Add cream. Mix.
5. Layer cut bread into buttered pan.
6. Add chocolate.
7. Pour custard mixture over top.
8. Let soak 8 to 10 minutes.
9. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes.
Uncover and bake until top crisps, about 5 minutes.
