Ingredients
- 1 lb. dried black beans, soak overnight! I use 4 cans of black beans, drained and washed.
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 t. ground cumin
- salt and pepper
- 1 T. butter
Preparation
Step 1
If you soaked the beans, drain and rinse.
Add the beans to a pot; Cover with 2 inches of cold water and add garlic, onion, cumin, salt and pepper. Leave on simmer until beans are tender and the sauce is thick. 1 1/2 to 2 hours to simmer.
Melt butter in skillet and pour beans in then mash, but leave some texture.
I used a food processor! Yummy!!!
