Passover Chocolate Wine Sponge Cake

Ingredients

  • 8 egg; separated
  • 1-1/2 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup cake meal
  • 2 tablespoon cocoa
  • juice of 1 orange plus rind
  • 1/4 cup wine

Preparation

Step 1


Sift together cake meal and cocoa. Beat yolks with sugar until thick and
creamy. Stir in meal/cocoa. Add juice and wine. Beat egg whites until
stiff. Fold in egg whites.

Bake 50 minutes at 350 °F
