New Irish Potatoes in Cream Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 medium sized potatoes, peeled
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 3/4 cup sweet milk
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Cut potatoes in 1" to 1 1/2 " cubes. Bring to a boil on high heat using water and salt. Cook for 15 minutes. Remove from heat. Add milk, butter, flour and pepper. Stir until flour is well blended and smooth. Cover boiler and return to low heat. Cook for 5 minutes. Set aside for at least 10 minutes before serving.
