Ingredients
- 3 c. milk
- 1 t. salt
- 1 t. sugar
- 1 1/4 c. cornmeal
- 3 lg. eggs
- 2 T. cold water
- 2 T. butter, softened
Preparation
Step 1
PREHEAT oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a 2 qt. baking dish; set aside.
IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN, combine milk, salt, and sugar, heat over medium heat until milk is steaming. Remove from heat. Add cornmeal, whisking until mixture thickens.
IN A LARGE BOWL, beat eggs, water, butter, and baking powder together. Add to cornmeal mixture. Pour into prepared baking dish.
BAKE until puffy and lightly browned 25 to 30 minutes.
