French onion soup (SLOW COOKER)

Ingredients

  • 8-10 large onions, sliced
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 6 101/2 oz cans beef broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp worcestshire
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 8 slices toasted french bread
  • grated parmesan and shredded mozzarella

Preparation

Step 1

1) saute onions in butter until crisp-tender. transfer to slow cooker

2) add broth, worcestshire and bay leaves

3) cover; cok low 5-7 hours or til onions tender. discard bay leaves

4) ladle into bowls, top with bread and cheeses

5) broil 3-5 minutes if you want melted cheese
