Turkey burgers with granny smith apples

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c thinly sliced scallions
  • 1/2 c. celery, finely chopped.
  • 3 granny smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/8 c. canola apple
  • 4 lbs. ground turkey breast
  • 2 t. salt
  • 1 t. pepper
  • 2 tsp chipotle tabasco
  • 1 lemon, juice and grated zest
  • 1/2 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c. major greys chutney, pureed

Preparation

Step 1

1) saute scallions, celery and apples in canola oil til tender. let cool

2) place ground turkey in large mixing bowl. add sauteed items and the remaining ingredients. shape into 8 burgers. refrigerate for 2 hours

3)season burgers with salt and pepper. place on preheated grill that is lightly oiled. grill each side about 7 minutes. remove from grill and let sit for 5 minutes
