CHICKEN LASAGNA

  • Mushroom sauce:
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles
  • 4-5 cups diced, cooked chicken
  • 2 cups cream style cottage cheese
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 T butter
  • 1/2 C chopped onion
  • 1/2 C chopped green pepper
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/3 C milk
  • 3/4 t basil
  • 1 6 oz can mushrooms sliced and drained

Preparation

Step 1

Cook noodles, rinse in cold water, drain. Place 1/2 noodles in greased 9" x 13" pan or dish. Cover with 1/2 chicken, cottage cheese and mushroom sauce. Repeat layers and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Sauce: Melt butter and saute onion and green pepper. Add soup, milk, mushrooms and basil. Cook and stir until smooth.
