Italian Frying Batter

Ingredients

  • A little more than ½ cup flour
  • ½ glass dry white wine
  • 1 egg yolk
  • pinch salt
  • 3 tsp. olive oil
  • whipped egg white

Preparation

Step 1


Mix together first 5 ingredients, if too thick add a little water, should be consistency to write with. Let sit for 15 minutes. Add whipped egg white.

Use to dip zucchini flowers, sage etc. Then deep fry.
