Ingredients

  • Round steak
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp marjoram
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 2 tbsp corn starch

Preparation

Step 1

Cut steak into thin strips. brown meat in oil, add onions and garlic. Cook 2 minutes more. Stir in 2 cups broth and seasonings and cheese. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Blend cornstarch with 1/2 cup broth. Stir into steaks. Cook until thick and clear, approximately 2 minutes.
