Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound lard
  • 1 pound creamed cottage cheese
  • jam
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • hot milk

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix flour, salt, and lard like pie crust. Add cottage cheese. Refrigerate 2 hours or overnight. Cut into 2 inch squares. Brush with melted butter. Put jam in center of square and pinch together.

2. Bake 10 minutes at 400, then 10 to 15 minutres at 325. (Watch- if thin crust about 6 to 8 minutes). Frost while warm.
