Christmas Sugar Cookies

These Christmas sugar cookies are just like Momma used to make! Grab the whole family for cookie decorating after they're baked.

Ingredients

• COOKIES:
• 1 cup of soft butter or margarine
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 3 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• FROSTING:
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• Milk
• Food Coloring

Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, blend all cookie ingredients.

Once blended, cover the bowl with cling wrap and let chill in refrigerator.

Lightly flour a rolling surface. Roll out dough to about 1/8 inch thick.

After cutting your Christmas shapes place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees fahrenheit 4-6 minutes.

Once cool, frost the cookies.
