Ingredients
- Mapled-glazed pork chops with pecan and apples
- 1 C maple syrup
- 4 t balsamic vinegar
- 4 t brown sugar
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 3/4 pecan halves, toasted
- 4 pork chops
- 3/4 t salt
- 1/2 t ground pepper
- 2 T olive oil divided
- 2 green apples
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 C finely diced crystalized ginger
- Whisk first 4 ingredients in med. bowl.
- Stir together pecans and 2 T of maple syrup in a skillet and cook until they are glazed. Arrange pecans in a even layer of wax paper, let cool.
- SPrinkle pork chops with salt, pepper and brush with 1 T of olive oil
- Grill pork 8 minutes of each side over med-high heat 350-400 degrees, basting with 1/2 C maplesyrup mixture during the last 5 minutes of cook time.
- Gril apples with sprinkling of salt and oil w/o grill lid and brushing with 1/4 C maple syrup. spoon syrup mixture over pork and serve with apples.
