Mapled-glazed pork chops with pecan and apples

Ingredients

  • Mapled-glazed pork chops with pecan and apples
  • 1 C maple syrup
  • 4 t balsamic vinegar
  • 4 t brown sugar
  • 1/4 t cinnamon
  • 3/4 pecan halves, toasted
  • 4 pork chops
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/2 t ground pepper
  • 2 T olive oil divided
  • 2 green apples
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/4 C finely diced crystalized ginger
  • Whisk first 4 ingredients in med. bowl.
  • Stir together pecans and 2 T of maple syrup in a skillet and cook until they are glazed. Arrange pecans in a even layer of wax paper, let cool.
  • SPrinkle pork chops with salt, pepper and brush with 1 T of olive oil
  • Grill pork 8 minutes of each side over med-high heat 350-400 degrees, basting with 1/2 C maplesyrup mixture during the last 5 minutes of cook time.
  • Gril apples with sprinkling of salt and oil w/o grill lid and brushing with 1/4 C maple syrup. spoon syrup mixture over pork and serve with apples.

Preparation

Step 1
