Ingredients
- 1/3 C sliced toasted almonds
- 1 8 oz jar applesauce
- 1/2 C brown sugar packed
- 1 t cinnamon
- 1 t ginger
- 1 t ground nutmeg
- 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 3/4 C evaporated milk
Preparation
Step 1
sprinkle almonds in pie shell. Layer applesauce over almonds. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Add pumpkin, eggs, milk to spice mix. Combine well. Turn filling into the pie shell. Sprinkle some almonds on top. Bake below center of oven 400 for 45 min.
