Italian Tomato sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 large cans progresso tomatoes
  • 2 cans tomato paste
  • 2 - 3 TBL olive oil
  • 2 - 3 links italian sausage sliced
  • 1/2 lb hamberger meat
  • 1 clove garlic bud
  • 2 - 3 TBL parsley flakes
  • 3 TBL Basil
  • 2 slices bell pepper.
  • salt & pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Brown sausage in olive oil, add chopped garlic and parsley flakes. Brown hamburger meat in same pot. If too much grease, pour out.
Puree 3 cans progresso tomatoes in blender and add to pot with paste. add basic, sale & pepper and bell pepper.

Simmer 3 1/2 hours. stir frequently.
