Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c Maple Syrup
- 1 3/4 c Water
- 2 c Flour
- 2 tb Sugar
- 4 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/3 tsp Salt
- 1/3 c Butter
- 1 c Milk
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the maple syrup and water into a large pot. Bring to a boil. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl. Cut in the butter until mixture is coarse. Pour milk into the centre of the mixture. Rapidly mix the dough with a fork until it just pulls together. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling syrup, spacing evenly. Cover and let simmer over medium heat for 15 mins. Serve immediately.
