Ingredients
- vegetable oil 1 tablespoon spray
- onion 1 cup chopped
- garlic 1 tablespoon chopped
- thyme 1/2 teaspoon
- cayenne pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- basil 1/2 teaspoon dry, crushed
- Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon
- hot pepper sauce 1/2 teaspoon
- sugar 2 tablespoons
- tomatoes 2 cups peeled, seeded, and diced
- chicken broth 2 cups
- shrimp 1 pound large fresh, peeled and deveined
- margarine 1 tablespoon
- green onion 1/2 cup chopped
- pasta 1 pound or linguine, cooked and drained
- parmesan cheese 1/2 cup
Preparation
Step 1
Saute the onion in the oil in a large pot.
Add garlic and continue to saute.
Add seasonings tomatoes and broth.
Cook over medium-high heat for an hour.
Saute the shrimp in butter with the green onion until the shrimp is pink, but not totally opaque.
Add the shrimp mixture to the sauce and continue to cook 2-3 minutes.
Serve shrimp sauce over hot pasta tossed with grated cheese.
