Ingredients
- 5 raw almonds
- 1 red apple, unpeeled
- 1 small banana, frozen and chopped
- 3/4 cup (6 ounces) nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup nonfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Be sure to leave the skin on the apple for added fiber. Technique Tip: Smoothies blend faster if you add both the fruit and the liquid or yogurt at the same time. If you like your drinks thinner, add ice cubes or cold water.
In blender or food processor, grind almonds until fine. Add remaining ingredients; blend to desired consistency.
