Ingredients
- 1 lb dates,cut in half
- 1 c white sugar
- 1/2 c cold water
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 3/4 c rolled oats
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp sal
Preparation
Step 1
Combine dates sugar and water and cook until soft
Mix dry ingredients
Add butter and work until combined
Take half the mixture and pat with fingers into the bottom of a cake tin
Spread cooled date filling on top
Crumble rest of the flour/butter mixture on top of the dates
Cook 30 min in 350 F oven
