German Chocolate Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 9 inch unbaked pie shell (deep dish)
  • 1 4 oz package German sweet chocolate
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 12 oz evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 TBSP cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Melt chocolate & butter over low heat. REmove from heat & blend in milk. Set aside. Mix sugar cornstarch & salt together. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Colmbine nuts & pecans. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes.
