Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups siften flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, eggs and then sift in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Chill dough. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Then roll in mixture of 2 TBSP each of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2 inch apart on ungreased sheet. Bake until light brown & soft. Cookies puff up and then flatten out when baking.
