Ingredients
- 18 Jumbo shells (LANCIA)
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh dill or 1 tsp. dried dill weed
- 1 pkg. spinach, thawed & drained
- salt & pepper
- 500 g extra smooth ricotta cheese
- 1 é3 c. grated parmesan cheese (fresh)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 jar (700ml) pasta sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Cook shells according to package directions. In sauce pan, heat oil; cook onion and dill (3-4 min.). Stir in spinach. Season to taste w/ s&p. Cool slightly.
Combine spinach mixture w/ icotta cheese, parmesan and egg. Set aside.
Spread half of pasta sauce i 13x9 baking dish. Fill shells w/ spinach-cheese mixture and place on sauce in dish. Cover with remaining sauce. Sprinkle w/ parmesan cheese or mozza. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
