Ingredients
- 1 T and 1t canola oil
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 red pepper, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 T chili powder
- 1 T ground cumin
- 1 t dried oregano
- 28oz can whole tomatoes
- 1 T cider vinegar
- 1 t salt
- 1/8 t pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Heat 1T oil over medium high heat. Add turkey and brown. Transfer to a plate. Add 1t oil to pan. Saute onion and pepper for 3 minutes, mix in garlic and saute 2 minutes longer, until onion is soft. Stir in chili powder, cumin and oregano.
Return meat to pot. Add tomatoes with liquid. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Add vinegar, s/p and cook.
