Thyme Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c., 1 stick, unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 3 tbls. honey
  • 2 tbls. plus 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 3 c. self rising flour
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3/4 c. sprite
  • 3/4 c. heavy cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pre-heat oven to 400. Line baking sheet with parchment paper
2. In a small bowl, combine honey and 1 tsp. thyme. Cover and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, combine flour, pepper, and remaining thyme. Make a well in the center. Using a fork, gently stir in the soda and cream, mixing just until incorporated. ( don't over mix)
4. For 16 biscuits -Drop heaping tbls. unto prepared sheet.
5. Bake until puffed and golden brown, 12 to 15 mins. Serve warm
