Ingredients
- 6 eggs separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Grated rind of 1/2 lemon
- 1 cup flour (pastry)
- 2 tbsp water
Preparation
Step 1
Beat yolks until lemon colored and thick. Gradually add lemon juice, water, and rind. Fold in egg whites, beaten to a stiff froth. Fold in flour and salt. Bake in a slow oven (300-350 degrees) 1 hour in a deep narrow pan.
