Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. Lean round steak or sirloin partially frozen
- 3 t. Flour
- 1-2 t. Salt
- 1/4 t. Pepper
- 3-4 T Oil and butter
- 1 large onion quartered and sliced
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 4 oz. Fresh mushrooms-cleaned
- 1/2 c. red wine
- 1 cup dairy sour cream (or 1/2 c. sr. crm plus cream of chicken soup)
- Minced fresh parsley for garnish
Preparation
Step 1
Slice partially frozen meat and set aside. Slice mushrooms and onion and cook in oil and butter mixture until golden. Dredge steak in seasoned flour in a plastic bag; shake off the excess and brown in the same pan. Add wine to the meat and onions and mushrooms and cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender. Add sour cream and just heat don’t boil. Serve at once with noodles of rice and garnish with parsley.
