Chocolate Freezer Cake

Can be used for Passover.

Ingredients

  • 7 eggs, separated
  • 6 tblsp. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. dark chocolate
  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine.

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325.
Grease a 10-11" springform pan.

1. Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff. Set aside.
2. In top of double boiler melt chocolate & butter.
3. Beat egg yolks lightly & add to chocolate mixture.
4. Fold egg whites into chocolate.
5. Pour half of batter into pan.
6. Bake 15-20 minutes until dry on top.
7. Cool about 10 minutes.
8. Pour second half of mixture onto cake.
9. Freeze immediately.
10. Take out of freezer 15 minutes before serving.
