Crock pot lemon chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 T italian seasoning
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Slice chicken breast halves in half, lengthwise. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Melt butter in skillet. Brown chicken on both sides. Remove chicken and place in crock pot. Add chicken broth to skillet to loosen bits, and pour liquid over chicken in crock pot. Season chicken with italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and garlic cloves. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours. With one hour remaining, add lemon juice and allow to cook the last hour.
