Ingredients
- 1 (15.5 oz) pkg of dried Slow Cooker Bacon & Beans
- 3 -1/2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
- 5 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 3 stalks of celery, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1-1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Packet of seasoning from Bacon & Beans package
- 5-6 drops Maggi's Seasoning (optional)
- 2/3 cup ditalini pasta
Preparation
Step 1
Place dried beans in large bowl, cover with several inches of cool water, soak overnight. Drain & rinse.
Place beans and remaining ingredients in slow cooker except for the pasta; stir well.
Cover and cook on high 2 hours. Reduce heat to low and cook for additional 7-1/2 hrs. The last 30 minutes of cooking stir in the 2/3 cup of pasta.
Serve with cornbread ... DELICIOUS!
