FRISEE SALAD WITH PEARS AND MANCHEGO

Ingredients

  • 2 HEADS Frisee (torn) about 8 cups
  • 2 red Bartlett pears
  • 1/4 c pomegranate seeds
  • 4 oz. Pecorino or Manchego cheese, shaved
  • 2 T Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 t ground salt
  • 1/4 t ground black pepper
  • 1/3 c extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 T Sherry or Red Wine vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine lettuce, pears, pomegranate seeds, and cheese
In smaller bowl, whisk the vinegar, mustard,salt, pepper.
While whisking, gradually add the oil and toss with salad
