Chili - Slow Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs lean turkey (or ground beef)
  • 1/2 can of red kidney beans, rinsed (15 oz)
  • 1/2 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1/2 can of water (28 oz)
  • 1/2 large onion, minced
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp chocolate chips or cocoa powder

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place the turkey in the bottom of the slow cooker.
2. Top with all spices
3. Add liquid ingredients.
4. Cook on high for 4 hours, medium for 6 or low for 8.
5. Add kidney beans and cook for anothe 20 minutes.
