Ingredients
- 1 lbs lean turkey (or ground beef)
- 1/2 can of red kidney beans, rinsed (15 oz)
- 1/2 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1/2 can of water (28 oz)
- 1/2 large onion, minced
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tsp red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp chocolate chips or cocoa powder
Preparation
Step 1
1. Place the turkey in the bottom of the slow cooker.
2. Top with all spices
3. Add liquid ingredients.
4. Cook on high for 4 hours, medium for 6 or low for 8.
5. Add kidney beans and cook for anothe 20 minutes.
