Doughnut holes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 C cake flour, sifted
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 1/4 t baking powder
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/8 t ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 C buttermilk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 T butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 425 deg. Spray doughnut hole pan with PAM.

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add remaining ingredients. Stir just til combined. Fill each cup 3/4 full. About one rounded tablespoon.

Bake 6-7 minutes or until tops of doughnuts spring back when touched. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Finish with glaze or powder sugar.

Makes 20 doughnut holes.
