Ingredients

  • Cookie crust:
  • 1 C butter
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 C flour
  • Topping:
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 1/4 C chopped pecans
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

For Crust, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy add egg and vanilla and nix well. Add flour and mix until blended. Spread dough in greases 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 15min at 350 . Cool slightly, but maintain oven temp.

Mix together topping ingredients by hand (DO NOT BEAT EGG WHITES). Spread topping over cookie crust and bake 15min more, cool then curt into bars. Makes 4doz.
