Banana Split Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 additional c. margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 bananas sliced
  • 1 can (1 lb. 4 oz) crushed drained pineapple
  • 1 pkg (4 1/2 oz) Dream Whip
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 jar maraschino cherries drained and sliced

Preparation

Step 1

Combine crackers and 1/2 c. butter in bowl and mix well.
Spred and pat into bottom of shallow baking dish.
Combine sugar and remaining butter in a large mixing bowl. Beat until light. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition Add vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Spread over crumbs. Arrange banana slices over butter/sugar mixture. Top with pineapple. Cvoer with whipped topping. Sprinkle with nuts and decorate with cherries. Chill.
