Smoked sausage and sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb skinless smoked sausage sliced half inch thick
  • 16 ozs sauerkraut
  • 1 T sugar(to taste)
  • 1 T bacon drippings

Preparation

Step 1

slice sausage into half inch thick slices. Brown well in medium sauce pan in bacon drippings.
Add sauerkraut and juice. sprinkle with sugar. mix well. Bring to simmer over low heat cover, stirring occasionally for 20-30 minutes.
