Ingredients

  • 12 chicken wings
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 heaping tablespoon all=purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Separate the chicken wings into 3 pieces each. Discard the bony tip. Beat the egg with the milk in a shallow dish. Combine the flour, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste in a separate shallow dish. Place the breadcrumbs in another shallow dish.

Dip the chicken pieces into the egg to coat well, then drain and roll in the seasoned flour. Remove, shaking off any excess, and roll the chicken in the breadcrumbs, gently pressing them onto the surface, then shaking off any excess.

Melt the butter in the preheated oven in a shallow roasting pan large enough to hold all the chicken pieces in a single layer. Arrange the chicken, skin-side down, in the pan and bake in the oven for 10 minutes. Turn and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and the juices run clear when a skewer is inserted into the thickest part of the meat.

Remove the chicken from the pan and arrange on a large platter. Serve hot or at room temperature.
