Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 3-4 large red onions chopped
  • 3-4 large white onions chopped
  • 4 green onions chopped
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup white wine or sherry
  • 1 +1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breats, cut into bite size pieces

Preparation

Step 1

in a large dutch oven, saute onions in butter, until golden, do not over cook. add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. serve hot top with croutons or cheese bread.
