Ingredients
- 1 small garlic clove, cut in quarters
- 2 Tbsp oil
- Veal cutlet
- 1 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- Pinch of nutmeg
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup marsala wine
- 1 4-oz can mushrooms, drained or 1/2 lb fresh
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 2 Tbsp parsley, chopped
Preparation
Step 1
Saute garlic in oil for five minutes, discard garlic. Brown cutlet in oil. Mix flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and sprinkle over browned meat.
Add onion and wine. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes, turning meat several times. Add more liquid (wine or tomato juice) if necessary. Add mushrooms, cover and cook 8-10 minutes longer.
Serve with sauce. Garnish with paprika and parsley.
